Kulinarya Experience (Robinson's Ermita)

My friends and I decided to visit Robinson's Ermita to check out Howard's Storage place. After going crazy over things they had inside that store we explored the new wing of the mall and chanced upon a restaurant named Kulinarya Experience. We ordered pizza, french fries and burgers with cheese sauce and mushrooms. The pizza was very small not enough if you are really hungry. The french fries we liked, because my husband and I like thin, small, and crispy fries. The burgers were pretty good too. The bread was soft, which we love, the taste of the patty was not bad at all and it went so well with the cheese sauce. For P150 it was worth it :)  It reminded me of burgers you find in country clubs (they are usually known for that :) )

Healthy Shabu-Shabu

Healthy Shabu-shabu
Power Plant Mall

Helathy Shaby-Shabu is another great choice if you're craving for shabu-shabu. The broth tastes good. Vegetables are fresh. Variety of balls (squid, meat, meat with mushrooms) are very tasty.

My husband and I ordered the Beef Tenderloin Set (individual) which was P435.00 each. Then we had 2 additional orders of squid balls (4 pieces per order)

Our total bill was P1200

If you are looking for a RAMEN place. Ukkokei is a great choice.
You have 3 choices: Soy sauce based ramen, Miso based ramen, and Salt based ramen. I personally like both soy sauce and miso based :)
You won't be disappointed!
GYOZA is worth ordering too.

Prime rib- we were 4 and we obviously had 1 each

Unagi Maki it was good, but with what we ordered we really didn't need appetizers.

Fried rice

Steak with the fat cooked separately YUM!

Ebi Tempura

Each of us had this combination plus vegetables and fried rice

If you were to ask me, steak, tempura, vegetables, sushi. Was a little too much.
Rib eye steak, tempura, and fried rice is more than enough to fill your tummy.

I love Kimpura!

Sandaya Japanese and Yakiniku Restaurant

2nd Level, Colbella Arcade
910 Arnaiz Street
Makati Metro Manila

A friend of mine suggested we try Sandaya Yakiniku. We did. We loved it. The place was clean, the waitress not too alert, but not bad at all. A variety of meats available. Dipping sauce is pretty good. Parking is a bit of a hassle. (The bank beside it won't allow you to park even on weekends). A must try
Our bill was P1800 between my husband and I

Another one I was never fond of was Shabu-shabu. I remember when I had a liver problem my doctor asked me to eat boiled food. I was devastated. In other words, food with no taste. My in-laws brought me to the Shabu-shabu in Rockwell. I wasn't happy. A year after, I gave it another chance. What was I thinking? Why didn't I like it before? After that, I ate shabu-shabu 3 weeks in a row. I obviously found the taste for it.

For an eat-all-you-can Shabu-shabu, KING ONE is pretty good. The place didn't feel as clean as the ones in Rockwell, and High Street, but for the price... it's so worth it.

More meat anytime you want

broth was good too

Eat-all-you-can meat, seafood, vegetables, balls.

Our bill was around P600 per person

I was never fond on Hainanese Chicken Rice till my best friend cooked up some for me. I couldn't stop eating. Then I heard about Tao Yuan. They said it was one of the best in town. I called to make reservations, the lady couldn't take my reservation. I called back and insisted. She said yes. When I got there, there was a table available, another party didn't show up. Thank goodness! I was meant to eat there. First thing I ordered was of course, HAINANESE CHICKEN RICE. I wanted to eat the whole plate.  It was goooood! I definitely recommend this place. We ordered more than that and it was all worth the calories.
I recommend that you also order the fish with mango sauce. Suckling pig was all right, a little to much fat if you ask me.

A few weeks later I left for Singapore. The land of Hainanese Chicken Rice. There was no way I was going to leave Singapore without tasting one. A friend recommended CHATTERBOX at the mandarin Orchard. She was right!

I was a happy girl that night :)

HILL STATION, Baguio City

Hill Station
tapas bar and restaurant
     at Casa Vallejo
Upper Session Road
Baguio City

Homemade bread with an awesome dip (a combination of nuts and spices)

Tuna Tataki with wasabi Mayo ( a little to peppery for my taste)

Moroccan baby back Ribs ( recommended)

Pasta with sun-dried tomatoes

Death by Chocolate ( we went back the next day to have more!) If you love chocolate, don't miss out on this.

Hill Station

My husband, together with friends decided to go up to Baguio last weekend to relax. The weather was cold with a little rain, which was no problem at all :) It was the perfect weather to stay in bed, which we intended to do for the weekend.
I've been hearing about Hill Station so since we were going to be there I made sure to make dinner reservations. The place was so cozy and seeing the whole family there, each having to help run the place smoothly, made it feel so "homey". The place was packed, so making reservations from manila was a good idea. Overall, our experience was memorable, we even went back the next day to have more of their desserts!
Note: They make really good VIRGIN margaritas, my bestfriend is pregnant = NO ALCOHOL

A MUST try when you go to BAGUIO

First time Blogger

I never really thought of starting my own food blog, up until a good friend of mine suggested it to me last Friday. My husband and I love to eat, either on a date or with good friends. We also like to take pictures of all the meals we have, either of a whole buffet or a tiny plate of dessert. I get text messages almost every weekend from friends, asking for suggestions on restaurants for dates, for a get together, a place to bring a client out, a nice place to get dressed, a casual place, the list just goes on.

This is the beginning of a satisfied tummy and taste buds :) ENJOY!
